Here in Northern California the children are celebrating the culture and language of their Italian heritage.

So that you may understand the various colors of Italy, notice the map. Here you will find that the Italic peoples have continued with various tongues of their own unique origins as they grew out amongst themselves and that of their previous lands of inheritance. Though the term dialect is used out of ignorance, as one becomes mature these local 'tongues' are indeed true languages of which can be found written and spoken within their communal regions.
